(Keppy) Mchugh
June 10, 1970 – July 18, 2025
Jessica Anne (Keppy) McHugh, age 55, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at Season's Hospice House in Rochester, Minnesota, after courageously battling cancer for many years.
Jessica was born on June 10, 1970, in Scott County, Davenport, Iowa, to Steven and Sharon (Anderson) Keppy, who now reside in Jefferson, Wisconsin. She graduated from Middleton High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she was a proud member of Alpha Phi and Beta Sigma Phi International.
On October 13, 2001, Jessica married William "Bill" McHugh, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and adventure.
Jessica worked as the Inventory Control Specialist at Rochester Public Utilities and was formerly the administrator of "Lower Sodium – No Problem." She had a vibrant personality and a deep love for animals, especially dogs. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed being part of a close-knit team in a Colonial Lanes Bowling League in Rochester.
She is survived by her husband, Bill McHugh; her parents, Steven and Sharon Keppy; and her brother, Dan Keppy of Cross Plains, WI, along with his children, Owen and Joseph Keppy. Jessica was also a devoted stepmother to Nick (Amy) McHugh, Brandon (Megan) McHugh, and Adam (Michelle) McHugh. She is also survived by her 6 step- grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Byron Funeral Home, 1620 Voll Drive NW, Byron, MN 55920.
A visitation and service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Pine Hill Cemetery Chapel in Davenport, Iowa. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. A luncheon will be served afterward for family and friends.
In honor of Jessica's generous and caring spirit, memorials may be directed to Season's Hospice in Rochester, MN, or to the Minnesota Colorectal Cancer Research Foundation.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, sense of humor, and the love she shared with those around her.
