Obituary

Max "Brian" Kingsbury, 61 of Rochester, passed away peacefully of natural causes at his home on Friday, January 22, 2021.

Brian was born on April 6, 1959 in Rochester to Max and Judy (Hoban) Kingsbury. The family moved to Byron in 1962 and Brian graduated from Byron High School in 1977. He attended RCTC and Mankato State University, later settling in Rochester, where he started his own business, Fixed Rite Home Services, which he ran for over 30 years. He was very passionate about the volunteer work he did for seventeen years with the Olmsted Co. Sheriff's Dept. K-9 Search & Rescue, and Dive Team. He spent many hours at Chester Woods Park setting up and planning training for the Search and Rescue Team. He also had fun at Christmas time running around town surprising his family and friend's children playing Santa Claus.

All who knew him will remember him for his compassion, generosity, and sense of humor.

He was met with open arms by his parents and his sister Kristine in heaven.

He is survived by two sisters Randi (Tom) Swanson of Hackensack, MN, Bonny (Mat) Churchill of Kasson, MN, three nephews Erik (Jess) Swanson of Byron, Andy (Karen) Swanson of Hackensack, MN, Jackson Churchill of Kasson, three great-nephews and one great-niece.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 2:00PM to 3:30PM at the Byron Funeral Home (1620 Voll Drive NW Byron, MN).
