Terry H. Howard, 49 of Byron passed away at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus on Friday, January 27, 2017 following a snowmobile accident.

Terry was born on November 24, 1967 in Owatonna, MN to Harvey and Carol Howard. He graduated from Claremont High School in 1986. Following graduation, he attended Rochester Vocational and Technical College for two years.  On April 20, 1996 he married Shannon Smith-Jacobson in Zumbrota, MN. The couple made Byron, MN their home. For over twenty years, Terry worked for Minnesota Energy Resources (Gas Company). Terry passed away doing what he truly loved alongside members of his snowmobile family. He coached girls summer softball for years, and made lasting impressions on many young lives. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend.

He is survived by his wife Shannon of Byron, his beloved pride and joy and best friend daughter Kelsey of Byron, his parents Harvey and Carol of Faribault, MN, his sister Tracy (Michael) Peña of Faribault and Nephews/Nieces Mikayla, Jacobson, Manny, Carson and Charlee.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Funeral Service for Terry will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Community Celebration Church (27401 County Rd 34, Kasson, MN 55944) with Pastor Steve Larson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017 in the Byron Funeral Home (1620 Voll Drive NW Byron, MN 55920) and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Byron Cemetery.
